Valentino Uomo
A set of 3D product animations for Valentino Uomo, built around the bottle's sculptural glass and light refractions.
A sculpted 3D bottle for Valentino Uomo
Mazarine asked me to create 3D product animations for Valentino Uomo. I handled the full 3D execution myself, from the bottle model to the final rendering and compositing.
The starting point was a technical CAD model of the fragrance bottle. I rebuilt it into a more detailed 3D version, then sculpted the studs by hand so they would feel closer to the real product. Their slight imperfections mattered: the bottle needed to keep the crafted, faceted quality of the physical object, not look like a perfectly mechanical CAD surface.
Playing with light through glass
The main visual work was about light passing through the bottle. I explored different lighting setups and animation ideas to create refractions inside the glass, using the geometry of the product as the source of the motion design.
The result was a set of short square animations, each built around a different way of revealing the bottle through reflections, refractions and graphic light movement.
