Making 3D sit inside a real shot, so you can't tell where one ends and the other begins.
A lot of my work ends up on top of real footage, where 3D and motion design have to live inside a live-action shot and hold up to it. That means the whole chain: tracking and rotoscoping, rotomation, simulations, rendering and compositing in Nuke.
I’ve been blending 2D and 3D into footage since the early 2010s, and the aim never changes: the effect should read as part of the shot, not stuck on top of it. When it works, it’s the least visible of my skills, which is exactly the point.
