Biotech Gold
CGI shots for Carita's Biotech Gold campaign, made with Velvet for a film directed by Wilfried Martin.
CGI for Carita's Biotech Gold
Velvet brought me onto Carita's Biotech Gold campaign to make a set of CGI shots for the film, directed by Wilfried Martin. I animated them and did the lighting, shading and compositing, with Jean-Baptiste Baudet on the simulations. The brief was to visualise the science behind Biotech Gold, so each shot had to feel precise and precious at once.
Biotech Gold Cell
I designed and animated a cell travelling from its origin down through the skin's layers, abstract but on-brand, kept elegant to match Carita's aesthetic.
Golden Bubbles
A simple shot at heart, but the high-dynamic-range golden light and the refractions through the bubbles give it a striking contrast.
Centrifuge
Jean-Baptiste Baudet ran the fluid simulation for the centrifuge, an elegant golden liquid abstracting the process; I lit and composited it.
Face FXs
For the effect of the cream on the model's face, we first built a digital double, a 3D face matched to her proportions, then used rotomation to lock it to her real movements. From there I could lay motion-graphics effects straight onto the face.
