Crema Nera Meta Eye
Electric CGI shots for Armani Beauty's Meta Eye campaign, made with Velvet.
Electric CGI for Armani Beauty
For Armani Beauty’s Meta Eye campaign, I worked with the agency Velvet on a set of CGI shots that slot into their final edits. Velvet set the overall creative direction. I did most of the 3D animation and led the art direction of the cells and skin slices, building their look with custom shaders, lighting and compositing. Erwan Stephan also animated and Samuel Fiser modeled. The look had to stay elegant and modern in Armani’s tone and colours, dark and electric.
Custom Cells Design
From Velvet’s storyboard, I designed custom peptides and molecular structures true to the brand. I built their look with custom shaders and lighting for a vivid, electric feel, with hard contrast between the dark background and the luminous green and white energy. That contrast is what makes it read premium.
Product Shots
The idea here was elegant lines of light. I used sharp beams to pick out the product, throwing subtle reflections across its sleek black surface and bringing movement to the shot.
Stylized Skin Slices
The trickiest shot was an abstract take on skin slices. It had to show the product’s effect on the skin while staying cohesive with the custom cells. Using the same custom shaders and green electric energy, I animated it propagating through the skin’s layers, revealing a smoothed, firmer texture.
