3D animations and 8K key visuals for Lancôme's 2023 Black Friday campaign, made with Velvet.
A fusion of technology and elegance
I directed this Black Friday film for Lancôme, a follow-up to the Double Eleven campaign we'd made with Velvet. Building on that modern, technological world, I pushed it further into a magical factory and folded in the Lancôme x Louvre partnership. I led the art direction and handled the lighting and compositing, with the Point Flottant team building it alongside me.
It plays as a visual journey: sleek design meeting charming robots and little drones, all moving around the Lancôme products, elegant and playful at once.
Key Visuals
I delivered over 20 key visuals to Velvet, each rendered at 8K. For each one I made a version with the product and one without. The product versions were high-fidelity guides: Velvet photographed the real products from the exact angles of my mockups, so the shots dropped cleanly into the 3D backgrounds with a perfect match in perspective.
